Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the electromagnetic conversion characteristics, by locating the magnetic thin film which takes the background plane with narrow width changed in step shape as a flat plane, on the upper part providing conductive layer and nonmagnetic isolation layer on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The 1st nonmagnetic isolation layer 9 is formed on the substrate of ferromagnetism such as ferrite, which is flat and the groove 8 of which is filled in glass, and after the 1st conduction layer 1A, the 2nd nonmagnetic isolation layer 10, the 2nd conductor layer 1B, and the 3rd nonmagetic isolation layer 11 are laminated on it, the magnetic thin film 3 such as Ni-Fe alloy is formed. The width of the magnetic thin film 3 is the same as the track width W near the plane 4 close to the recording medium 5, and the rear side has wider width WA than W.
