Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the testing device suitable for the case where an accurate uniform motion in a comparatively short distance is required, by rubbing the driving wheel, which rotates while interlocking with the flywheel and rotates in a peripheral speed equal to a desired drop speed of the main lever, against the rail provided on the main lever. CONSTITUTION:Main lever 12 and sample material 5 are supported perpendicularly, and main lever 12 is lifted to the contact starting point or more between rail 13 and driving wheel 14 and is held by stopper 18, and motor 16 is started, and stopper 18 is released after the motor rotation number is so adjusted that the peripheral speed of driving wheel 14 becomes equal to a desired drop speed of sample material 5. When main lever 12 and sample material 5 drop to bring rail 13 into contact with driving wheel 14, the drop speed of main lever 12 is regulated by the inertia force of flywheel 17 till coming-off of rail 13 from driving wheel 14, namely, in a comparatively short distance. Consequently, if the apparent mass of flywheel 17 applied to main lever 12 is set to a sufficiently large value, main lever 12 drops in a constant speed practically in the comparatively short distance.
