Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to omit conventional drying and dewatering process and save heat energy considerably by coating electrodeposition paint on the substrate which remains wet with water after pretreatment for painting and washing, then immersing the same into the electrodeposition paint in an electrodepositing tank and performing electrodeposition coating.
CONSTITUTION: The water-base electrodeposition paint in an electrodepositing tank 1 is forcibly fed 3 into a spraying part 4, and is spray-coated to the substrate A, while wet, which has been fed into the spraying part 4 by a conveyor past a pretreatment process and a washing process. Next, the substrate A having undergone the primary film forming treatment in the spraying part 4 is sent into the tank part 1, and is immersed in the electrodeposition paint in the tank 1, whereby it is electrodeposition coated. As a result, the drying and dewatering process after washing which has hitherto been required is completely omitted.
