Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to oxidize and decompose waste liquid for removing the components of high COD values easily and continuously by controlling the pH of the waste liquid contg. the materials capable to be oxidized, subjecting the same to oxidation, adjusting its alkalinity and flocculating and separating the materials oxidized.
CONSTITUTION: Waste sterilizing and disinfecting liquids are stored in a portable type waste liquid collecting tank 1, and an acid is added thereto under stirring from a tank 2 to adjust its pH to 2W3. The tar component deposited is removed with an adsorbing cylinder 3 and the liquid is fed into a reaction tank 4, where it is stirred. Next, while its pH is being maintained at ≤3 by adding an acid from an acid tank 7, iron powder coated with copper film is added as a catalyst from a feeder 8, an antifoaming agent from an antifoaming agent tank 6 and further an oxidizing agent from a tank 9. If there is no temperature rise at this time, it is heated with a heater 10 to accelerate oxidation reaction. Thence, an alkali agent is added from a reaction tank 11 to adjust pH to ≥9, and a high molecular flocculant is added to allow the catalysts of iron salts and copper salts to flocculate. Next, a valve 12 in the position upper than the formed sludge is opened to feed supernatant into a filter tank 13. The sludge is put into the filter tank 13 by opening a valve 14 and is used as a catalyst. The filtrate is stored in a tank 15 and is released from a release port 16.
