Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a substituted phenol useful as an agricultural chemical or a raw material for agricultural chemicals, etc., by the reaction of a dihydroxybenzene in excess of the stoichiometric amount with an organic halide in the presence of a base and a stabilizer.
