Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for a perfume component by one stage in high yield and in high purity, by reacting a 4,4-dialkoxy- 1-butin to be synthesized readily as a raw material with a Grignard reagent, followed by reacting the reaction product with an alkalifying agent.
CONSTITUTION: A 4,4-dialkoxy-1-butin shown by the formula I(R' is 1W3C alkyl) as a raw material is reacted with a Grignard reagent or alkali metal amide, to give a reaction product, which is reacted with an alkalifying agent shown by the formula R-X(R is 1W16C alkyl, 2W10C alkenyl; 3W16C alkynyl, or aryl; X is halogen, mesyl, or tosyl), to give a 1,1-dialkoxy-3-alkyne shown by the formula II. This compound is obtained readily in a yield about ≥90% without causing an inconvenient isomerization reaction. The compound is subjected to cataltric reduction by hydrogen in the presence of a Lindlar catalyst, and hydrolyzed to give a perfume component shown by the formula III.
