Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the shrinkage of ventilating duct to be caused by the difference of thermal expansion of core and to ensure the air quantity of the salient pole type electric rotary machine by a method wherein at the ventilating ducts to be provided in the rotor core, inlet and outlet ports of the ventilating ducts adjoining to dashboards partioning incoming air and outgoing air are formed broadly. CONSTITUTION:The dashboards 18 are provided between the stator core 8 and a stator frame 10 to make cooling air coming from blowers 12 to feed to the ventilating ducts 9 of the stator core 8 and to make cooling finished air to be exhausted. Among the ventilating ducts 9, notches C are provided at the inlet and outlet ports of the ducts adjoining to the dashboards 18, etc., to form the inlet and outlet ports broadly. Accordingly even if the difference of thermal expansion is generated in the duct walls owing to the temperature difference between incoming air and outgoing air, the sectional area of duct is not shrunken and the quantity of air can be increased and ensured.
