Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformize core temperature by constructing the core portion in a portion of lower temperature with silicon steel plates and constructing the core portion in a portion of higher temperature with amorphous metal plates. CONSTITUTION:Cooling air from a cooling fan 7 passes through a ventilating slot 6 axially provided on the surface of a rotor shaft 5, an air duct 9 provided in a rotor core 3 and an air duct 8 provided in a stator core 10, and is exhausted from one side of the rotating electric machine. The side 10a of the stator core 10 near the inlet of the ventilating slot 6 is constructed with silicon steel plates, and the side 10b in the inner part of the ventilating slot 6 is constructed with amorphous metal plates having less iron loss. With this, temperature increase lowers in the position 10b where the stator core temperature is higher, thereby uniformizing the stator core temperature.
