Abstract
PURPOSE:To automate the whole agglutination of blood, i.e. the discrimination, discrimination recording, pattern recording, etc., of a blood, type by irradiating a sample with light, and by drawing the graduation pattern of light intensity by scanning its transmitted or reflected light. CONSTITUTION:On glass body 14, blood cells, serums, etc., of a sample are dripped, and light from light source 11 is passed through filter 12 and slit 13 to scan the sample on glass plate 14, moved in direction X-Y or the circumferential direction by a sample feeder. The quantity of light proportional to the light and shade degree of an agglutinated body produced in the sample is converted by agglutination detection part 15 into a voltage, which is amplified by amplifier 16 and then sent to pattern discrimination circut part 17. The discrimination circuit part 17 has a circuit, etc., which discriminate the position where the maximum (minimum) value of the quantity of light is obtained and draw a gradation pattern by using gradation lines; while and agglutination image is sent to pattern recording part 19, the number of gradations and amplitude values are outputted to discriminating circuit 18, where the blood type is discriminated and printed out by discrimination recording part 20.
