Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the formation of drain by setting and controlling the ratio of the quantities of water injected from water injection nozzles for cooling gas in response to the distribution of the velocity of the wind on the same plane as the nozzles.
CONSTITUTION: A wind velocity detector 6 is inserted up to the same location (d) as water injection nozzles 2, and the velocity of the wind at the location is read by means of a differential pressure detecting wind velocity indicating set 8. The velocity of the wind is detected every each water injection nozzle 2, and the quantities of water injected from each water injection nozzle 2 are calculated. The quantities of water injected from each water injection nozzle 2 are set by a makeup water main valve according to the ratio of the velocity of the wind of each nozzle section. The total quantity of water is adjusted leaving the ratio of the quantity of water injected as it is. Thus, the quantity of water can simply be adjusted for preventing drain, and gas can be cooled and water can be evaporated approximately completely.
