Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent casting and impregnation workability, and giving a cured product having excellent flame-retardance, electrical resistance, water-resistance, etc., by compounding a specific polyol with hydrated alumina, magnesium hydroxide, and a polyfunctional isocyanate compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyol obtained by reacting 1mol of hydrogenated polyhydroxybutadiene polymer with 1W2mol of an oxycarboxylic acid of formula I (R is 8W25C aliphatic hydrocarbon), is compounded with (B) 60W 150pts.wt. of hydrated alumina, (C) 5W40pts.wt. of magnesium hydroxide, and (D) a curing agent consisting of a polyfunctional isocyanate compound of formula II (R1WR3 are lower alkyl; n is 1W4). The amount of the isocyanate compound is pref. 0.9W1.30 equivalent per 1 equivalent of the hydroxyl group of the polyol.
