Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a surface pressure from being increased locally and obtain a stabilized hysteresis characteristic by a method wherein the disc is constituted so that the pressing force of a dish-shaped spring acting on the friction plate of the clutch disc is acting at a substantially central part between the inner and outer diameters of the friction plate.
CONSTITUTION: The clutch disc has a main driving plate 4 and an auxiliary driving plate 5 connected each other like as one body by spacing rivets 3 pinching the flange part 2 of a clutch hub 1 and power transmission between the main and auxiliary driving plates 4, 5 is effected by a spring 7 interposed between both of the plates 4, 5. The friction plates 8, 9 are slidingly contacted with both of the side surfaces of the flange part 2 and is provided wth a pressing plate 11 engaged with the internal diametral part of the auxiliary driving plate 5 through pawls 10. In this case, the Belleville spring 12 is interposed resiliently between the pressing plate 11 and the auxiliary driving plate 5 and the internal diametral part 13 thereof is abutted against and engaged with the substantially central part between the inner and outer diameters of the friction plate 9 or the pressing plate 11 while the pawls 14 are retained within the holes 15 of the pressing plate 11.
