Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the process-ink permeability water resistance, oil resistance and the like by integrally providing a metal foil on one side of a stainless-steel mesh by a specified method.
CONSTITUTION: After subjecting an arbitrary stainless-steel mesh 2 to an electroplating process for forming thereon a metal layer 1 not clogging the mesh, a fluid emulsion prepared by mixing carbon particles with an organic caking agent and an organic solvent is impregnated in the plated mesh to form an organic resin layer 3 thereon. Then, after polishing only the surface on one side of the mesh and sealing the surface on the other side with a nonconductive layer 4, electroplating is conducted to deposit a metal foil 6 on the polished surface 5. Then the organic resin layer 3 and the nonconductive layer 4 are removed by thermal decomposition or a treatment with organic solvent, obtaining a printing screen comprising a stainless-steel mesh 2 provided integrally with a metal foil 6.
