Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent overheating of a mold and concentration of a pressing force, by a method wherein a periphery of a nozzle tip makes contact with a mold surface at a position away from a gate of the mold, and a nozzle port end is positioned facing the gate through the medium of a gap provided between the nozzle port end and the mold surface. CONSTITUTION:A periphery 11, formed in a flat, of a tip of a nozzle 1 makes contact with a mold surface at a position away from a gate 6 of a mold 4, and a nozzle port end 12 is positioned facing the gate 6 through the medium of a minute gap 7 which sizes below 0.3mm. in width. Molten resin is then injected into a cavity 5 of the mold 4. The nozzle 1 makes contact with the mold at only the periphery 11 of the tip, which results in an extremely small contact area and in a reduced heat transition as well. Besides, a thin section film 8 produced at a nozzle tip surface acts as a heat insulating layer. Thereby the mold 4 is prevented from being heated by the nozzle 1 and the nozzle 1 is kept from being cooled by the mold 4. Furthermore, the nozzle contacts the mold surface at a position away from the gate 6, whereby stress concentration to the gate can be eliminated.
