Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the coupling between subordinate waveguides and to reduce the loss, by providing subordinately a resistance plate with a short tube axis length and a subordinate conductor plate with a tube axis length about a quarter an intra- tube length atop of a conductor plate which partitions the subordinate waveguides. CONSTITUTION:Conductor plate 4 is provided in main waveguide 1 at right angles to an electric field of a TE10 mode wave while dividing equally waveguide 1 in the height direction by two. Therefore, the TE10 mode wave arriving in waveguide 1 is divided equally by conductor plate 4 to subordinate waveguides 2 and 3. Resistance plate 5 is provided atop of this conductor plate 4, and subordinate conductor plate 6 which is about a quarter as long as the intra-tube wavelength is also provided atop of resistance plate 5. The power distributor of the said constitution has the amplitude distribution of unbalanced electric currents shown by the dotted lines, which are weak at the waveguide 1 side of conductor plate 6 and intense at the side of resistance plate 5. Consequently, the power distributor can absorb the unbalanced electric currents sufficiently even if the tube-axial length of resistance plate 5 is short, so that the loss of the TE10 mode wave is small, and the power distributor which is reduced the coupling at the subordinate waveguide side is obtained.
