Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of emissivity to measure the true surface temperature even for a general object, by selecting three or more spectral radiation energies from the radiation energy flux and by performing a specific operation after converting them to electric signals. CONSTITUTION:Spectral radiation energies of three or more wave-lengths are selected from the radiation energy flux from object 1 by spectroscope 3 and are converted to electric signals by detecting element 4. These electric signals are involved by all values except values, which include selected wavelengths, themselves, out of values proportional to differences of these wavelengths, and ratios which have obtained signals as numerators and denominators alrernately are obtained. For example, ln [V(lambda1)<(lambda2-lambda3)>V(lambda3)<(lambda1-lambda2)>/V(lambda2) <(lambda1-lambda3)>]-C is operated on a basis of logarithmic conversion values of electric signals V(lambda1)-V(lambda3) concerning three wavelengths of lambda1-lambda3 by amplifiers 7-9 and adder and subtractor 10, and the reciprocal of this signals is operated by reciprocal converter 11, thereby obtaining true temperature T0 of object 1.
