Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of emissivity to measure the true surface temperature even for a general object, by providing a spectroscope which selects spectral radiation energies of three or more wavelengths, a detector, amplifiers, dividers, an adder and subtractor, and so on. CONSTITUTION:Spectral radiation energies of three or more wavelengths are selected from the radiation energy flux from object 1 by spectroscope 3 and are converted to electric signals by detector 4. These signals are amplified by amplifier 5, and ratios of output signals separated by signal separator 6 are obtained by dividers 71 and 72, and these signals are converted to temperature signals by operators 81 and 82, and further, addition and subtraction are performed by adder and subtractor 9 to measure the temperature of object 1. For example, temperature signals T12 and T23 for the bicolor thermometer are obtained by the operation based on ratios R12' and R23' of respective two values out of spectral radiation energies epsilon1E1-epsilon3E3 concerning three wavelengths lambda1-lambda3, and further, the ture temperature is calculated by prescribed addition and subtraction, and this signal is output to output terminal 10.
