Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a polypropylene container with excellent heat resistance without loosing transparency by a method wherein a sheet of polypropylene resin with a crystal m.p. of 155°C or more is molded to a surface of a female mold under pressure and vacuum in a hollow container shape and, thereafter, said female mold is inlaid into a male mold to subject said sheet to heat treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A monolayer or a laminated plastic sheet containing a polypropylene resin with a crystal m.p. of 155°C or more as a main constitutional element is preheated to 150°C or more and below the crystal m.p. and preliminarily molded on a surface of a female mold to a hollow container shape by using compressed air. Subsequently, said female mold is inlaid into a male mold having outside measurements equal to inside measurements of the preliminarily molded product and the heat treatment is applied at 100W150°C, (pref., at 110W140°C) for 10sec or more and, after cooling, the objective polypropylene container is obtained. Thereby, a thin wall hollow container of which a heat deformation temp. of 105W140°C is obtained.
