Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the remote measurement of temperature of an object independently of noises or the like by a method wherein a standard temperature radiating body is mounted on the light inlet end of an optical fiber and brought close to an object to be measured of temperature, and the light from said heat radiating body is transmitted through the optical fiber to the light outlet end to detect the temperature. CONSTITUTION:The light inlet end 3a of an optical fiber 2 is covered with a tube 5 of a standard substance for measuring luminance temperature, such as platinum, and thereon, a protecting tube 6 of a metal or ceramics is fitted. The light inlet end 3a is brought close to an object 1 to be measured the temperature, and the light emitted by the standard substance 5 is led to a measuring system 4 connected to the light outlet end 3b of the optical fiber 2 and arithmetically processed to detect the temperature of the object 1. Thereby, remote measurement can be performed independently of electromagnetic induction, noises or the like.
