Abstract
PURPOSE: To always secure an optimum amount of cooling water by a method wherein a plurality of cooling water regulating valves in cooling water piping, which is connected to cooler, are arranged in parallel and selectively controlled in accordance with the load level of a generator at the shut-down of flowing-in steam to the turbine.
CONSTITUTION: The cooler 9 is supplied with cooling water through the cooling water regulating valves, for example 3 valves 13aW13c connected in parallel with the cooler 9 in the system that the steam is led to a condenser 10 through a bypass steam pipe with a bypass valve 6, a decompressor 8 and the cooler 9 by bypassing the turbine 4 in an equipment comprising the steam turbine driven with the steam generated in a nuclear reactor 1 and the generator coupled with the turbine to generate electric power. Each of the valves 13aW13c is connected to the downstream of a condensate pump 11 through a cooling water pipe 12 and controlled by each of three-way solenoid valves 14aW14c. And each of three-way solenoid valves 14aW 14c is selectively operated by the signal in accordance with the load level from a memory and output relay circuit 18.
