Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably detect the surface of liquid with high accuracy, by converting the rotation of rotatable body into the vertical motion of float and detecting said rotation without contacting. CONSTITUTION:The float 4 is vertically moved following the fluctuation of the surface of liquid in the cylindrical part 2b of the case 2 which is largely extended to the lower part of the surface of liquid. The noncontacting type rotation detecting part 10 is accomodated in the upper case 2e forming the room 11 in the inner part which is partitioned from the upper part of said part 2b. The displacement of rotation of the fan-shaped board 12 rotating in accordance with the vertical motion of the float 4 is electrically detected as the fluctuation of output of the output coil group 14 in accordance with the displacement of rotation and the surface level of the liquid is displayed analogously or digitally by the display apparatus of liquid volume in accordance with said fluctuation.
