Abstract
PURPOSE:To determine the change in water level in real time and to measure the water level highly accurately, by arranging level sensors, wherein magnet floats are floated along magnetostriction type displacement gates, which are suspended from a top parts into tubular containers, so that the floats can be freely moved up and down, at a reference point and measuring points. CONSTITUTION:When water levels in tubular containers 1 in level sensors A at a reference static point (b) and measuring points 1-3 are fluctuated, magnet floats are moved up and down along magnetostriction type displacement gages 3. Thus the change in water level in each tubular container 1 is captured with the displacement gage 3. The detected level signal is sent to a measuring device C from a signal converter 2. Thus the level can be measured in real time in a dynamic way (level change response of about 60cm/sec). In said magnet float 4, a doughnut type float ring 5 is arranged at the outside of the float. When said float ring 5 is floated on the surface of the water, disturbance such as especially high frequency vibration is suppressed, and the measuring accuracy is improved.
