Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable accurate measurement through the correction of variation of specific gravity, by dividing the pressure difference signal used for level detection with the difference signal of output signals from two pressure difference transmitters located at the bottom of tank.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure difference transmitters 2a, 2b are located at different height at the bottom of the tank 1, the pressure difference signal is given to the operation unit 3 to obtain the difference signal, and the level H is measured by dividing the pressure difference signal used for level detection with this signal at the divider 4. Accordingly, since the pressure variation at the enclosed tank and the change in specific gravity accompanied with the temperature variance including open tank can effectively be corrected, the measurement of level H can accurately be made without being affected by them.
