Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the surface form with a high precision, by performing the operation processing of flaw detection signals from >=2 probes which are inclined at a prescribed angle and are arranged in the width direction and the longitudinal direction of the object to be checked, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The transmission output is transferred to probes 1 and 2 from transmitting part 8 by synchronizing signal circuit 7, and ultrasonic beams are received from probes 1 and 2. Ultrasonic beams are propagated in medium 4 and are incident to object 3 to be checked. Beams reflected by the surface of object 3 are returned to probes 1 and 2 and are detected by receiving parts 9 and 10. The transmission time and the receiving time are measured by time counting circuits 11 and 12, and the difference of beam paths from both probes and the object surface is operated by beam path difference detecting circuit 13. Fluctuation operating circuit 15 of angle for the object to be checked detects the fluctuation angle of the object on a basis of the beam path difference and inclination angles of probes 1 and 2 and displays it on display circuit 16.
