Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy reproduction of control and simplify the control function, by leading a part of the light given from a built-in light source to a reference photodetector to secure a substantial offset for the variation of the light source and at the same time providing a knob for control of the volume of the reference light. CONSTITUTION:The light given from the light source 2 such as an incandescent lamp or the like within the housing 1 is irradiated to the object 6 to be detected through the object lens 5 through the projecting lens 3 and transmitting through the half-mirror 4. The light reflected from the object 6 is reflected by the mirror 4 and through the lens 5 and then irradiated to the photodetector 8 through the light receiving lens 7. On the other hand, the light given from the light source 2 is reflected and condensed by the concave mirror 9 and then irradiated to the photodetector 12 through the photoconducting bars 10 and 11. As a reslt, the variation of the light source is offset substantially, and at the same time the reproduction of control is facilitated with a simplified control function by controlling the volume of the reference light through an adjustment of the masking plate 16 with the control knob 13.
