Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain good image stability even if a relative spectral distrubiton of radiation light varies, by arranging a spectral distribution correction filter for allowing illumination sensed by a photoreceptor to correspond to that sensed by the photodetector of a light source. CONSTITUTION:Part of the illumination light of a light source 2 is detected with a photodetector 5 through the opening 4a of the source holder 4, an electric signal corresponding to the illumination is issued, and the illumination of the source 2 is controlled by the signal through a specified electric circuit so as to maintain the detection illumination constant. A spectral distribution correction filter 20 having a specified spectral transparency 20 is arranged just before a lens 8 in a light path. Accordingly, even if a relative spectral distribution of the source 2 varies with time, input of the source 2 is controlled so as to maintain output of the photodetector 5 constant, thus permitting an amount of light sensed with a photoreceptor to be kept almost constant, and a satisfactory image to be obtained by allowing the illuminations sensed by the photodetector 5 and the photoreceptor to correspond to each other.
