Abstract
PURPOSE:To change a many number of taps by using a standard switch by constituting a tight tap winding by the first tap winding and the second tap winding, selecting the tap by a tight-tap selecting device, and connecting a coarse tap winding to a polarity switching device. CONSTITUTION:The winding comprises a tight tap winding 1, a coarse tap winding 2, and other winding 3 including a main winding. The tight tap winding 1 comprises the first tight tap winding 1a and the second tight tap winding 1b which have a plurality of taps. The numbers of turns between said taps are equal. The coarse tap winding 2 is provided with a plurality of taps, between which the number of turns twice as much as the total number of turns of the second tight tap winding 1b is provided. Tight-tap selecting devices 5a and 5b which are connected to fixed contact points D1 and D2 of a switch 4 select taps of the even and odd numbers of the tight tap winding 1a and 1b, respectively. The end of the winding S2 of the first tight tap winding 1a selects the coarse tap through a coarse tap selecting device 6b. The beginning of the winding S1 of the second tight tap winding 1b selects the same tap as the tap selected by the end of the winding S2 or the adjacent tap thereto.
