Abstract
PURPOSE: To remarkably improve the durability and the heat collecting efficiency of a heat collecting unit by forming the heat collecting unit of transparent material such as glass or the like and employing a suspension of heavy oil and finely pulverized coal particles as heat collecting heat medium.
CONSTITUTION: A parabolic collector is formed by disposing a rod-shaped heat collector 3 inside an arcuate sectional groove-shaped reflecting mirror 2. In this case, the collector 3 is formed of glass tube, and suspension of heavy oil and finely pulverized coal particles is used as heat collecting heat medium 4. The collector 3 is coaxially disposed within the interior of a cylindrical glass cover 5, and the interior of the cover 5 is evacuated in vacuum, thereby securing high heat insulation. The same construction is approximately employed also for a flat collector. When the heat collecting heat medium employs the suspension of heavy oil and coal particles, high heat collecting efficiency can be obtained without coating a selective absorption film on the collector.
