Abstract
PURPOSE:To bring a light spot moving speed on the surface of projection close to an equal speed, by setting a mirror driving current waveform so that a speed of deflection angle becomes smaller as the deflection angle of an oscillating mirror is getting larger, in a light deflection device which has used an oscillating mirror. CONSTITUTION:The figure 1 shows a light deflection device, and the oscillating mirror 1 reflects an incident light beam 2 and forms a light spot 5 on the surface of projection 4. Deflection length X of the light spot 5 against the deflection angle theta of the mirror 1 becomes ltantheta. Therefore, X is not in proportion to theta and is unable to scan at an equal speed. Accordingly, as a waveform a1 shown in the figure 2(a), constitution is made so that a current value is gradually saturated as a driving current is getting larger (deflection angle theta becomes larger). The waveform a1 shows a saw tooth waveform which has been used therefore. Also, although the figure shows only the one side deflection of the oscillating mirror, it can be easily applied to a both side deflection system, as well. The periods A, B show a scanning period and a returning period, respectively.
