Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the design of a block for a semiconductor integrated circuit and reduce the size of the integrated circuit by providing common terminals at equal interval from the intermediate point between both the sides of the block to be cepable of being disposed upside down. CONSTITUTION:Input terminals 11 and output terminals 12 of arithmetic units 10 for calculating a predetermined operation are formed respectively at the upper and lower sides 14 and 15 of a flat rectangular frame 13. The first common terminals 17 are provided at the intermediate points 17 of both sides 16 of the frame 13. The second common terminals 18 are provided at the points isolated at equal interval from the points 17. The block 19 can be disposed upside down rotatably around a rotary axis of a linear line A-A for connecting the intermediate points of both the sides 16 thereof for connection. Thus, the coupling can be shortened remarkably and the integrated circuit can be reduced in size with a simple design by combining the block of normal mode and reverse mode.
