Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the hardware of a control system by enabling in-use/stand-by switching automatically at a communication channel side. CONSTITUTION:Holding memory LGM is composed of rewritable RAM and controller MCTL which writes information in LGM is connected so as to rewrite externally the contents of LGM through input unit TTY, thereby performing the connection switching of channels. Since LGM uses RAM, an electric power failure, etc., erases the contents of LGM and it takes much time to make a reconnection, so redundant constitution of one system, two systems, etc. with divided electric power feed is employed. In addition to the redundant constitution of one or two systems of a communication channel, a common circuit is provided previously and this common circuit displays a fault on alarm display circuit ALD and further operates in-use/ stand-by change-over circuit ACT/SBY to change communication channel over. As a result, the need to connect expensive MCTL and TTY to the communication channel all the time is eliminated and only each one MCTL and TTY are needed for multiplexers.
