CONSTITUTION:An interface module 12, a control module 13, and control modules having the respective different control contents are inserted the first slot 10 of a number 11 of a housing 9, the second slot and the third slot through the ninth slot, respectively. Also, a backup module 14 having functions of all the second through ninth modules is inserted in the tenth slot. Each module is connected so that a data can be exchanged to each other by a double and equal type loop communication line. To remote inputs and outputs 17 connected to a switching device 16, an object to be controlled 19 is connected through input/ output signal transmission lines 18. The module 14 switches an input/output signal of a fault control module to an input/output signal from the module by sending a selecting and switching signal 21 to the switching device 16, and executes the control.
