Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable chasing of the maximum temperature part of a target by comparing the output pulse of a detector every time when an instantaneous visual field crosses the target and by delivering as a chasing signal a rosette pattern coordinate signal at the time when the maximum peak value within a frame is obtained. CONSTITUTION:The infrared detection signal of the target from the detector 6 enters a pulse peak detecting circuit 22a through an amplifier 12, while the peak value within one frame of the detection output is obtained through the intermediary of a rotation signal pulse train of a wedge 5 from a pickup sensor 9a through PLL10. In the same way, the peak value is detected by a peak detecting circuit 22b through the intermediary of the pickup sensor 9b of a secondary mirror 4. Both outputs thereof are converted into a Y-direction chasing signal and an X- direction chasing signal through the intermediary of sine and cosine generating circuits 24a and 24b, an A-D converter 25 and subtractors 26a and 26b. By this constitution, the maximum temperature part of the target can be chased.
