Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure accurately the flow speed or flow rate of liquid-vapor two- phase current by supplying purge liquid of a prescribed flow rate to a Pitot whole- pressure tube and a Pitot static-pressure tube and by providing a differential-pressure gage measuring the difference in back pressure of the purge liquid. CONSTITUTION:Through the intermediary of the insertion hole 11 of a circulation duct 10 making vapor-liquid two-phase air current flow from below to above, the Pitot whole-pressure tube 15 and the Pitot static-pressure tube 16 both of which are faced to a supporting body 12 are inserted and supported in parallel. When a driving device 24 is made to operate, the liquid for purge inside a cylinder 23 is released from the whole-pressure orifice 17 and the static-pressure orifice 18 of the Pitot whole-pressure tube 15 and the Pitot static-pressure tube 16 into the circulation duct 10 at a fixed flow speed through the intermediary of supply pipes 21 and 22. The difference in back pressure received from the two-phase current of the liquid for purge inside the Pitot whole-pressure tube 15 and the Pitot static-pressure tube 16 is measured by the differential-pressure gage 31. By this method, the flow speed or flow rate of the vapor-liquid two-phase current can be measured accurately.
