Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a deformation of a beam disc as well as improve its revolution by forming a beam disc support with a nonmagnetic material which has a smaller coefficient of thermal expansion than the beam disc. CONSTITUTION:Several points on a fringe of a beam disc 18, which is composed of a nickel and the like as usual, are fixed by means of a spot welding 10 to a beam disc support 19, which is formed by a material with a smaller coefficient of thermal expansion than the disc, for example, a nonmagnetic nichrome. In such a case when a temperature rise due to a degassing causes the disc 18 with a large coefficient of thermal expansion to expand considerably, the support 19 is not stretched because it has a larger strength than the disc 18. As a result, the disc 18 is deformed like a broken line instead of stretching the support 19 and is stabilized. The resolution may be thus improved.
