Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable drawing rate and drawing speed as high as those for a carbon steel wire to be obtained by applying iron plating on a stainless steel wire and further forming a phosphate film thereon. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel wire material is descaled, and after it is degreased to subject to striking. This is rinsed and is plated with iron, whereby an iron plating film of about 0.5-10mu thickness is formed thereon. After it is washed, it is subjected to phosphate coating treatment, whereby a predetermined phosphate film is formed. If this coated stainless steel wire is continuously drawn by using a dry type lubricant, it is drawn at a high drawing rate and finishing speed. When it is degreased and is cleaned by nitric acid after the drawing, the film is easily removed.
