Abstract
PURPOSE:To send lights, differing in wavelength, in the same direction by arranging light sources and an echelette grating at constant determined positions. CONSTITUTION:Plane 5 including the normal direction of the grating groove surface of an echelette diffraction grating and the direction of the grating groove is used as an incidence surface, and on the generating line of conic surface 9 which contains incident light beam 7 incident at angle phi and whose contact plane crosses incidence surface 5 of light beam 7 and grating surface 2 at right angles, light sources emitting continuous spectra are arranged. Of light beam 10 and 11 incident to the diffraction grating from the generating line, light traveling in direction 8 of light of emission angle phi contains discrete components differing in wavelength and light signals differing in wavelength can be mixed by utilizing the said principle.
