Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and to reduce costs by performing fixing and combining of the oscillation wavelengths of plural semiconductor lasers with one plane of diffraction grating. CONSTITUTION:The beams emitted from semiconductor lasers 1-3 are paralleled by collimators 11-13 and the parallel beams are made incident at incident angles theta1-theta3 to a plane difraction grating 20. If arrangement is so made that the secondarily diffracted beams of wavelengths lambda1-lambda3 diffracted by the grating 20 are fed back to the lasers 1-3, the oscillation wavelengths of the respective semiconductor lasers are fixed at lambda1-lambda3. At this time, the primarily diffracted beams of the wavelengths lambda1-lambda3 diffracted by the grating 20 advance all in the direction normal to the grating 20 irrespectively of the wavelength and therefore the beams of all the wavelengths are condensed at one point with a condensing optical system 21 and are fed into an optical fiber 22.
