Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the product accuracy and the operational stability, by permitting calculated set, data for the screw position and the rolling speed to have some tolerance, when the kind of product is to be changed, at rolling a single blank material into two-kind products A and B.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of manufacturing the products A and B by the rolling work possible to change the thickness and breadth of the traveling material, the set data for the screw position and rolling speed of the rolling work for the product A are resetted to values of the screw position and rolling speed of the rolling work for the product B. Hereupon, the set data for the screw position and rolling speed of the rolling work for each of products A and B are previously calculated for the same grade of steel and the same size of the blank material utilizing the same sheet temperature data and the same mill constant; by utilizing these result of computation for the product A, a learning correction and a manual set data correction are carried out before feeding the material to the mill; the result of these corrections are added to the result of computation for the product B when the product thickness is to be changed from that of product A to that of the product B, hereby, the set data for the rolling work for the product B are corrected. Or, the correction given to the set data during the rolling work for the product A is added to the calculated set data for the product B, and hereby, the set data for the product B are corrected. On the basis of these corrected data, the product thickness is changed.
