PURPOSE:To analyze N-acyl-L-plolyl halogenide easily and accurately by reacting this to a specific amide deriv., then separating antipode by a gas chromatography having a specific optically active stationary phase. CONSTITUTION:The N-acyl-L-prolyl halogenide expressed by the formula I (A1 is lower fatty acid acyl or halogen-substituted acyl, X is halogen) is reacted with the amine expressed by the formula II (A2 is alkyl of >=C3, cycloakyl) to an amide deriv. The soln. of said amide derivative is supplied to a gas chromatography having the optically active S-triazine having at least two asymmetric carbon atoms such as the one expressed by the formula III as its stationary phase, and the antipode is separated and determined, whereby the assay of optical purity which has been difficult in conventional methods is made possible.
