Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve measuring accuracy, by forming multiple scattering type optical system by the first irradiation window and incidence window and transmissive optical system by the second irradiation window and incidence window, then, reducing the variation of Rn/Rt signal due to the shift of upper and lower head. CONSTITUTION:The upper head 1 having the irradiation windows 4, 4' and the lower head 2 having the incidence window 5 are disposed opposite to each other with the paper 3 between. Further, the rotary wheel 8 having the filter for measuring light 9 and filter for reference light 10 is provided to the head 1 and the transmissive optical system is formed by said windows 4' and 5 and also, multiple scattering type optical system is formed by said windows 4 and 5. Accordingly, measuring accuracy can be improved by obtaining measured value of moisture content and moisture regain as stabilized signal for shift, by compensating the ratio signals of the measured signal Mn and reference signal Rn detected by the latter optical system with the ratio signals of the signal Rn and reference signal Rt detected by the former optical system.
