Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a conspicuousness-preventing insulating film for the transparent conductive film of a liquid crystal panel stably at a low cost, by utilizing the thermal decomposition of an organic metallic compound. CONSTITUTION:To prevent the conspicuousness of a transparent conductive film by providing a transparent insulating coating having an index of refraction between those of a substrate and a transparent electrode, the said insulating coating is formed through the thermal decomposition of an organic metallic compound. Namely, the substrate is steeped in an organic solvent solution of the organic metallic compound (metallic alkoxide, metallic acrylate, etc.) which becomes metal oxide, such as ZrO2, TiO2 and SiO2, through thermal decomposition, and the substrate is taken out of its quickly and then baked to form the transparent insulating coating of metal oxide on the substrate surface. The thickness of the said coating can be adjusted by the concentration of the solution and the lifting speed, but is favorably 200- 1,500Angstrom .
