Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit the operation of a single-phase motor by inverters by using two inverters having 90 deg. phase difference each other and generating different voltage with the same frequency. CONSTITUTION:A main coil driving inverter 2 is composed of a main coil 20 and switching elements 21-24 and an auxiliary coil driving inverter 3 is composed of an auxiliary coil 30 and switching elements 31-34 and the squirrel-cage rotor 1 of a motor is driven by both inverters. Both inverters feed AC voltage with 90 deg. phase difference each other and the same frequency to require no phase advance capacitor for a single-phase motor. In case of existing single-phase motors, auxiliary coil impedance and main coil impedance do not match. Therefore, the conductive factor of an inverter driving signal is changed to vary the output voltage of both inverters.
