Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture die-casting products having an excellent dimension accuracy by simple means, by putting a tapered pin which controls advancing locations of the split metallic mold so that it may move upward and downward, at the center of a plural number of split metallic molds radially arranged.
CONSTITUTION: Split metallic mold 13a is arranged radially in the metallic mold container composed of upper mold frame 17, lower mold frame 18, and side plate 19. Tapered pin 24 which can move upward and downward is set at the upper part of the center of mold 13. Tapered pin 24 is projected into cavity 12 by cylinder 22 under the condition where the mold is opened, and base end of tapered part 24a and sliding surface 25a are brought in line with each other. Split mold 13a is slid along the direction B by driving means 21, and tapered section 24a is brought to a location so that it will almost contact with tapered section 13b. Then tapered pin 24 is pulled up and lower end 24a" of tapered section 24a and lower and 13b' of tapered section 13b are brought in line. Again, tapered pin 24 is pulled up until straight part 24b prevents the movement of split mold 13a. As a result, variation in advancing speed of split mold 13a is dissolved.
