Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain a connection in high reliability by a method wherein a plurality of solar battery elements are connected in series in such manner that the element mounted on the first coupling plate having a plurality of insulators on the periphery and an opening in the center is connected with a wire and the series connection to the following element is established by a second coupling plate on the reverse of the element situated in the opening. CONSTITUTION:A number of front electrode 3 increase as a diameter of the solar battery element 5 becomes large. To electrically connect the element 5 in series, the coupling plate as described in the following is used. Namely, the first coupling plate 4 in the center is formed with the opening to be made donut-shape, fitted with the plurality of the insulators 6 on the peripheral edge of the surface and the element 5 is mounted thereon to permit the electrodes 3 and coupling plate 4 to be connected with the wires. Further, to connect this to the element 5 located in the following, the second coupling plate 4' fitted in the opening is provided in the center on the reverse of the element 5 and connected to the first coupling plate 4 of the next coming element. Thus, the electrodes 3 are easily position-fitted.
