Abstract

PURPOSE:To control surely running of the tape, by using the means, which detects rotation of the reel shaft to control it, and a delay means, in the tape recorder where the magnetic tape and the light transmittable leader tape are detected photoelectrically. CONSTITUTION:For transfer from the magnetic tape to the light transmittable leader tape, comparator RF1 of photo sensing circuit PC forms a pulse output according to the time constant determined by delaying capacitor C and the resistance. When rotation of the reel shaft is stopped, the output terminal of comparator RF2 of reel shaft rotation detecting circuit RC is inverted to +beta2 after a prescribed time. This output is inputted to tape running control circuit TC to operate the mechanism controlling mechanism and so on. Therefore, even if the reel shaft is stopped instantaneously under the recording or reproducing mode by fast forwarding or rewinding operation, erroneous operations do not occur. Since tape running control circuit TC is controlled due to the action of operating transistor TRM by the output of photo sensing circuit PC, tape running is controlled surely.
