Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the stability of control by controlling a tape run by the photosense output of a light-transmissive reader tape or a reel rotation detection output in reproduction and recording, and by only the reel rotation detection output in rewinding. CONSTITUTION:In reproduction and recording, control circuit CC can operates tape run control circuit TC by either output from photosensing circuit PC or reel rotation detecting circuit RC. In fast forwarding or rewinding, the output of photosensing circuit PC is excluded through the conduction of switching transistor Trs of control circuit CC, so that tape run control circuit TC will be operated by only the output of reel rotation detecting circuit RC. Thus, the stability of tape run control can be improved.
