) relates to a cue device for recording. The beginning of a tape recording is commonly called the beginning of a song. For example, when several songs are recorded sequentially with blank areas in between, you can find the beginning of the next song. This refers to the action of fast-forwarding to the beginning of a playback and automatically switching to normal playback speed from that point.

Therefore, a method of detecting a no-signal state between songs is generally used. Figure 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a conventional tape recording cue device. A signal is obtained from a detection head (often also serves as a playback head) 1, amplified by an amplifier 2, and then converted into a rectifier and time-limited circuit. Add to 3.

While there is a signal, a corresponding positive voltage is input to the comparator circuit 4, but if the no-signal state continues for a predetermined period of time (corresponding to the discharge time constant of the time limit circuit), the positive voltage input to the comparator circuit 4 is input to the comparator circuit 4. is decreasing. The comparator circuit 4 is composed of a Schmitt circuit or the like, and detects when the input positive voltage drops to a predetermined value and outputs an output signal to the output terminal 6 via the output stage 5.
After completing the song cue operation, the tape is switched to normal playback speed. However, as soon as a predetermined period of no signal has elapsed during fast-forwarding, normal playback mode resumes, so if there is a long unrecorded portion between songs on the tape, the song may not actually be played until it enters playback mode. Since the tape is fed at the playback speed until it appears, the player must wait for a long time, and the effectiveness of locating the beginning of a song is greatly reduced.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a device that can accurately locate the beginning of a recording even if the unrecorded portion between recording areas is long.

FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention.
A signal is obtained from the detection head 1, amplified by the amplifier 2, and applied to the rectifier time limit circuit 3. While the signal is present, a positive voltage corresponding to the signal is input to the comparator circuit 4, and the comparator circuit 4 is not operated, but it is not activated. The no-signal level period detection system is the same as the conventional device shown in FIG. 1, in which the input positive voltage to the comparator circuit 4 decreases and an output is output from the comparator circuit 4 when the signal state remains unchanged for a predetermined period of time.

In addition to this system, the present invention adds a system for detecting the presence of a signal. That is, when the cueing state (fast forwarding or rewinding state in play) is set, it is set by the signal from the control signal input terminal T, and the signal level detection circuit 8 detects the recording from the amplifier 2. A flip-flop circuit 9 is provided which is reset immediately upon detection of a reproduced signal, and outputs the output of the no-signal level detection system from the comparator circuit 4, the output of the signal position detection system from the reset output terminal Q of the flip-flop 9, and the output of the signal position detection system from the reset output terminal Q of the flip-flop 9. A matching circuit 10 matches the signal from the playback control signal input terminal 7, and only when these three signals match does the playback operation begin, assuming that cueing is complete. Therefore, as explained above, even in the cueing state, the operation does not occur if there is only a no-signal condition, but starts immediately after entering the next recording area, so the length of the unrecorded area on the tape Even if there are fluctuations, the cueing function can be performed perfectly.

It is easy to understand that even if a cue is selected during playback of a certain recording area, the system will fast-forward to the beginning of the next recording area, and at that point playback will begin, fulfilling the cueing function.
