Abstract
PURPOSE: To lighten the weight of a disk brake in the consideration of the deformation of a support by providing one of right and left support arms with an extension part crossing the outside of the rim part of disk to other outer side and the other with another extension part to the side on a slide support pin.
CONSTITUTION: Brake torques for braking are supported by a support arm part 32 on the turn-out side of disk rotation on the inner side and a support arm part 31 on the turn-in side of disk rotation on the outer side. Consequently, these brake torques are distributed to and supported by the left and right support arms 31 and 32. On the turn-out side of the rotation, since the brake torque generated in a friction pad 20 on the inner side is supported directly by the support arm 32, a friction pad guide part 19 can be reduced in its diameter, and on the turn-in side of the disk rotation, the influence of the brake torque of an outer side friction pad 23 comparatively strengthened by a moment is supported by a support arm 4.
