Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve working accuracy of a fluid pressure press and decrease energy consumption by operating the body of a press machine by means of the fluid pressure of rotary pumps which are coupled to a revolving shaft having a flywheel by means of a clutch device. CONSTITUTION:A motor 12 is beforehand started and a flywheel 13 is kept run at the same speed. When the operator engages a clutch 15 at the press work, pumps 16, 17 are run at the same speed, and the oil of an oil tank 18 is pressure-fed and is direction-controlled by a manihold 21, so that a piston 7, a ram 11, and a plunger punch 10 are lowered and the piston on die cushion 5 side is lifted by the pressure oil of the pump 17. On ending of the press work, the direction control valve of the manihold 21 is changed over, so that the piston 7 is lifted by the pressure oil of the pump 16, and the worked product is taken out by the knock-out by the pressure oil of the pump 17. While the press is not in operation, the clutch 15 is held released and therefore energy consumption is virtually decreased to zero.
